The spring semester has started and we are moving forward at full speed! Over the weekend, we send six of our members to an all-expense paid trip to ECAASU which was hosted in Washington D.C. this year. Hopefully, we will get to hear from them soon, but from the snippets that I've been hearing, ECAASU was quite a treat!
Looking forward, the spring semester looks promising as we are beginning to form committees for Asian Arts Fest and send representatives to work on a new upcoming Asian American conference. Preliminary decisions are still being made, but within the next few weeks, we should have a strong confirmation on news regarding who will be planning Asian Arts Fest and how the conference will play out. With those as monumental events during the semester, it's easy to forget about our smaller events, but without a doubt they're just as important for community building and relaxing bonding! Luckily, our first general body meeting is this Thursday, so as we play Jeopardy and eat some noms, we can sit back and appreciate the friendship that we have around us on this campus.
